Continuing with Spring Themes, I took some work along to the monthly Magpie Market which runs in conjunction with The Frome Independant (a hugely popular Food and Artisan market which meanders wonderfully from the bottom of the High Street all the way to the top of Cathrine Hill).
The sun shone and we had lots of lovely, friendly visitors in town and browsing our stalls. I was pleased that lots of the painted Hares and Birds found new homes, and the handful of painted eggs I hads made to decorate my stall also prooved popular and were snaffled up in no time.
I have been asked if I am making more of these- so will be getting my paints out again later in the week and will list a batch in plenty of time for Easter decorating. Of course the beauty of these little wooden eggy delights is that they are gluten, dairy, and just about every known allergen free!
They will also be beautiful to include in Easter egg hunt (though as I use water based paints would suggest adding a coat of varnish if you wished to hang them outdoors for a longer period of time).
I will add an update to the blog when the next batch are completed and available.
Thanks so much for your interest.
