As we approach the end of January, I have been reflecting on what a busy month it has been.

Along with the fabulous interest my products have received following the Country Living magazine feature - what a fantastic boost to start the year, I am hugely appreciative and have met some lovely new friends around the country following the article; behind the scenes I have also been fully immersed in applying for events, filling in year planners, and of course submitting my annual accounts for review. I have a long list of ideas to action, things that were succesful to develop further and those less successful products and projects to let go off... my annual business detox!

Inevitably as I begin planning my thoughts have been turning to Spring, and taking note of the products I make that have been popular online, I can see that you have been snapping up the small individual flower drops along with your orders for the full size stems and flowers; these little lovelies are also incredibly popular on my stall, making for lovely small gifts or charming momentos. The price of these smaller flowers is always kept low so that those who appreciate my work but may not always have a surfeit of disposable income to draw upon can still take a little something away with them to enjoy, or to pass on to a friend who needs a bit of cheer sending their way. They are often picked up by children too wishing to spend their pocket money on a treat for a much loved family member or care giver. It is a joy to wrap them up and see them being carefully carried off to their prospective new homes!

Now amidst the brooding and dramatic, stormy skies of January, it has been a real pleasure to get the soft tones of indigo and powder blues, sugar plum pinks, and golden yellow paints out onto the workbench and begin work on this year's collection of these pocket sized, pastel treasures.

Golden Daffodils, indigo Bluebells, pretty Snowdrops, and Primroses in three gorgeous creamy colourways adorn the bench in readiness of their ribbon hangers. The (eco -friendly) paint colours are all hand mixed so as with most of my pieces each one will be unique, each one designed to bring joy to the recipient and to last for many years. The new ribbon is due to arrive early this week so I am very much looking forward to getting them finished, photographed, and listed in plenty of time for Spring. Then, as always it will be a pleasure to send them out to you and to see the creative ways you might use them. If time allows I will be adorning a Spring branch to display in my window at home, a pretty and colourful way to mark the end of January as she gives way to the brighter months of February, March, and the forthcoming Easter holiday.
